Some of this information will be provided to you at the time of booking, and then again via email a few days before the walk.
Details of the Walk:
- Date.
- Arrival & Start Times.
- Duration of the walk.
- Location - including a description of the trail area and instructions for getting there.
- A Google Map to assist with directions.
- Parking information.
- Information about the facilities available such as the nearest toilets, drinking water facilities, and any shelter available.
- The specific meeting point where your guide will be waiting to greet you.
- A link to the Weather Forecast for the region of the walk.
- Administration requirements, such as the signed Participant Agreement & Release Form and any COVID Safe requirements in place at the time.
What to Bring:
Please come appropriately dressed for the weather forecast covering the period of the walk.
When the weather is warm it is important that you bring enough water to drink and dress to protect yourself from the sun.
This includes:
- Closed-toe shoes or boots(no thongs, for some trails, sandals will be okay).
- A sun hat or appropriate head covering.
- A rain & windproof jacket if the forecast is for wet weather or high winds.
- Layered clothing - shorts & t-shirt are fine on warm/hot days.
- A suitable face mask (you are not required to wear it, but you should have one with you just in case we cannot socially distance).
- A small bag to carry your equipment.
- If you don't like to sit on bare ground or grass, it is a good idea to bring along a small mat or towel to sit on when required. Please make it small enough to carry in your bag.
- A full water bottle and some snacks if you wish.
- It is also a good idea to pack sunscreen, hand sanitiser, insect repellant and any specific medications you may need.
